Goals. We all have them. Some are big, life altering goals. Some are small, immediate goals. But we all have them. Most of them we store in our heads, hoping they will someday come true. We dream about the day when our goal will be accomplished.

One of the best steps you can take to making your goals become a reality is to write them down. It seems simple, it doesn’t seem like it would make that much of a difference, but it really does. Taking the time to write your goals down cements them in your mind. It brings reality to them.

After you write them down, write down some action steps you need to take to make those things happen. Our goals will never become reality in our lives if we don’t take action to make them so. So take the time to come up with some steps to get there.

Finally, find an accountability partner. We are not created to go things solo. While we have to walk our own road in our own way, we are made to need companionship. Our path will be easier to travel when we have a friend cheering us on and encouraging us when we want to quit. Someone who can be both a shoulder to cry on at one moment and give us a firm nudge back on track at another.
